Erin’s must-haves for 2017

Hi all! Sorry I’ve been so caught up with exams and celebrations, I haven’t had a chance to write more. But I have compiled a list of my favorite products that I have explored this year!!

Eyes:

  • Too Faced: Natural Eyes Palette
    • This is an amazing palette, has both sparkly and matte shades (you can also get a totally matte palette if you like, but I love a little sparkle). It also comes with a three minute guide for some quick and easy looks. It’s a wonderful palette for beginners, and I have had so much fun with it!
    • Nude Palette
    • Cruelty Free
    • Price: 36 USD
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills: Modern Renaissance
    • This palette is so pigmented and a lot of fun to play with. It is easy to use (unfortunately does not come with a guide, but there are lots of tutorials online). It is a little bit more expensive than the Too Faced palette but it is definitely worth the money. If y’all can treat yourself, you should definitely invest in it.
    • Beautiful reds, pinks and the lighter beiges and sparkles.
    • Cruelty Free
    • Price: 42 USD
  • Stila: Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
    • Even the waterproof version stays all day long! The felt tip makes it super easy to apply and works wonders over eyeshadow. Perfect for the cat eye or wings, whatever your fancy.
    • I have tried the NYX liquid eyeliner and the Maybelline liquid eyeliner both with a felt tip but neither came close to the precision and the smoothness of the Stila eyeliner.
    • Unsure if they test on Animals/Vegan (If looking for a cruelty free brand Too Faced: Eye marker is a great alternative, have not tried it yet!)
    • 22 USD
  • Buxom: Lash Waterproof Mascara
    • This is the easiest best mascara on the market (in my humble opinion). The brush makes the mascara glide on your eyelashes and it stays all day. It is easier to use than the Too Faced: Better Than Sex mascara.
    • Cruelty Free Brand || parent company is not.
    • 20 USD

Face:

  • Lancome: Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation
    • My favorite foundation at the moment. It is so creamy and easy to apply to your face. It comes in a variety of colors, if you’re in the market for a new foundation definitely give Lancome a shout.
    • Unsure if they test on Animals/Vegan. (If looking for a cruelty free brand, Too Faced Born This Way foundation is).
    • 47 USD
  • Nars: Radiant Creamy Concealer
    • Such a wonderful concealer, really does live up to its name of “creamy”. Easy to blend and comes in a variety of colors.
    • Not cruelty free
    • 29 USD
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills: Contour Kit (Powder)
    • Easy to use, easy to blend – it has colors for most skin tones. I really love this contour kit, as a beginner it was really easy to use. It does not come with a guide, unfortunately, but there are a lot of tutorials online
    • Cruelty Free
    • 40 USD
  • NYX: Bronzer
    • Wonderful bronzer and can be used to add color to the face instead of doing a contour
    • Cruelty Free
    • 8.99 USD
  • Pur Strobe Palette
    • Easy to use for strobing and if you add a little Max Fix+ to it, it becomes a wonderful highlighter too! Such sparkly, I can’t get over it.
    • Cruelty Free
    • 34 USD
  • NYX: Dewy Finish Spray
    • Gives such a nice finish to the full face of makeup, helps it last throughout the day or the night depending on when you use it. Totally worth the money, and a good dupe for the Urban Decay spray.
    • Cruelty Free
    • 7.99 USD

Lips:

  • NYX Lipstick Lingerie
    • They just released 24 new shades!! I love these lipsticks, they are easy to apply and have a wonderful wear and tear throughout my day. The colors can also be a dupe for Kylie Jenner (See previous post for more details)
    • Cruelty Free
    • 6.99 USD
  • Kylie Jenner Lip Kits
    • If you can splurge a little, treat yourself to one of these liquid lipsticks and liners. They are really fun to use and some of the colors are super unique to Kylie (Like Posie K).
    • Cruelty Free
    • 30 USD
  • Bite Beauty: Amuse Bouche Lipstick
    • Very, very moisturizing lipsticks. The wear and tear is amazing and I hardly have to reapply. They come in a variety of colors, everyone can find a color that looks amazing on them!
    • 26 USD

Tools:

  • Morphe Brushes: Rose Gold Set
    • Lovely brushes and they come with a travel case too. Really cheap for seven brushes, they are soft and grip any product well!
    • Cruelty Free
    • 19 USD
  • Beauty Blender
    • I use the little beauty blender just for concealer, it’s really a fantastic product but it can be pricey. Morphe and Real Techniques also do sponges too if you’re looking to save on some coins.
    • Unsure about brand
    • 16 USD

I hope you all have a very safe and very happy New Years! Wishing all the best for 2017.

With love,

Erin
